I am so excited to be starting a new school year! I have 18 super awesome students that I feel very blessed to be helping grow both spiritually and academically. We started our day by playing a game called Getting to Know You. We learned everyone's favorite ice cream flavor, color, subject, and sport. Then we went to church for our all school blessing of the students and the school/playground. We loved hearing Fr. Dennis talk about our school theme, Follow the Son. After the Prayer service and school blessings the Primary students and teachers got together to talk for a few more minutes about our school theme and we all created a little Follow the Son cross with a sunflower!
The second graders also got together with their 5th grade buddies and did a S.T.E.M. Challenge, Paper Chains. Buddies worked together for 15 minutes to try and build the longest paper chain they could with only 1 8x10 piece of paper, a glue stick, and a scissor. We started measuring the chains but ran out of time. We will pick up where we left off tomorrow morning! We can't wait to find out which buddies created the longest chain.
